Restaurant in Florence: PALLE d’ORO – very typical, in city center, very popular by the Florentines.

I think the only restaurant in the world where, while ordering, the waitress has stopped telling me that their portions were so plentiful that it was almost impossible for us to eat everything we were ordering, which then brought us appetizers and pasta, then we could see … and she was right, even against her own interest.

In the center, very close (opposite …) to the renovated Central Market (prey to the commercial machine Farinetti’s Eataly), comfortable furniture to be a trattoria, for lunch a few tourists and almost all Florentines.

Enjoy traditional dishes, considering that they also offer dishes that of Florentine they have nothing (I guess “forced” by the will of the usual tourists …), then you can choose between sea or land, perhaps in the fixed price menu …

Perfect then the Tuscan antipasto, also full of pickled vegetables, great ribollita, as well as the Tripe Florentine and I liked even more times the Cod Livornese, beans all’uccelletto (tomato, sage, garlic), etc.

If you are going on these dishes will eat with little money so much stuff high quality.

Oh, if you’re in hurry, you can also sit at the counter and choose a sandwich with the lampredotto tripe…
